Lumen reviews1/2/2024 So if I am not able to use the type of installation sold as part of the price what do they do with "part" I am not using Maybe they could have adjusted the price more fairly between the various types of install. I thought they were in business to provide not only product but also a service. Just needs to express my disappointment in a company with great products but no sympathy for unaware consumers. One of these pendants I would have to buy another mono point installation even though I already have one Linens tes me they don't sell parts so if I needs to replace So can anyone help me understand how a different type of installation from one that is included in the price can possibly be over $100 per pendant. Called again today and spent another hour withTerese at Lumens who explained that I would not be able to return the monopoint canopies nor would they give me any kind of additional credit for all of the misunderstanding at least on my part since I am an elderly home owner who mostly hires experienced installers. I was assured that he would return my call in 45 minutes. Imagine that! The last call I made to Lumens yesterday was answered by a different person and I again asked to talk with Kenneth. Tried for two days to talk to my salesperson Kenneth but he was never available. I asked if I could return the three unused and expensive monopoint systems. After many calls after my husband quickly installed the pendants with our existing monopoint system. I again said I thought I already had the monopoint but went ahead and placed the order. With the monopoint install and LED bulbs the price now was $403 per pendant. The price was $308 each with the Freejack install and halogen light bulbs. The salesperson Kenneth explained to me that I would definitely need the monopoint system. After a discussion it was determined that I neede the "monopoint" type of installation. I decided to call for help in the purchase because I did not understand the installation terms. I was happy to see they had a sale so I found the three mini pendants I thought would just right. I had purchased from about a year ago so checked their website. I looked for weeks for mini pendants to replace the three in my condo. I suggest if you purchase items and you don't receive the items, when promised, that you're prepared for a long process to get a refund. NEVER would I purchase anything from LUMENS. You need to wait on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes and then you get the run around. They don't return phone calls, or emails. Poor or no follow-up and to get a refund takes at least 2+ weeks with constant calls and emails. The supervisor, Temo who was in shipping, not even in the return or credit department.Īll I can say about LUMENS is that they sell high-priced items, with little or no customer service. This was after a 30 minute hold time, and I had to get irate on the phone to get anywhere.įinally, credit was issued, but, in my opinion, this only occurred because I constantly called and asked for a supervisor. I called on June 1st asking about the refund, which hadn't been processed yet, I was told would take 5-7 business days for accounting to credit refund, once the refund is approved. When I called Lumens to cancel the order that I didn't received on May 18th, it took until May 24th before I received email that Refund was 'in process'. Shipping company dropped the ball and when it was scheduled for delivery, they said it wouldn't be delivered for several weeks, at least. I purchased 3 vanity mirrors with LED lights on May 5th. I could return the whole lamp for a replacement, but I no longer have the packaging and I shudder to think what it would take to take this one apart, pack it, ship it (it's heavy), unpack a new one, and assemble it all over again. A few weeks into April, I received another message saying it would be sent on July 1. (This is a part that costs no more than a few cents.) They told me to expect it in April. So after a fair amount of bureaucracy and more waiting (days), I was told they would replace the Allen screw at no cost. I tried but it's nearly impossible to find tiny screws that are just the right size. I called Lumens and at first they suggested I look for a replacement online. It looks tacky without the knob and it's awkward to turn on and off. However, I could not find the tiny Allen screw that connects the knob to the on/off switch. It was difficult to assemble but I eventually got it all set up. It arrived in good condition and I was pleased with the quality.
